Join us in May for Wild, Worried, and Wonderful: Social and Emotional Learning and Literacy (ASC) Training.
When: Thursdays May 10th and 17th 6-8pm
Where: The Family Place, US Rt 5 S., Norwich, VT 05055
Cost: Free!
Participants receive a set of free children’s books, through which they learn the following:
➢ Study social and emotional topics that align with the early stages of child development.
➢ Identify and resolve specific social and/or emotional behavior in children.
➢ Design effective strategies to promote social and emotional learning in your program.
➢ Learn to recognize social and emotional themes in children’s books to elicit authentic conversation.
➢ Plan and practice using books to promote social and emotional learning with children in your care.
Configuration and Credits: There are two, two-hour sessions held one week apart, with 2 hours of independent study in between. Participants must attend both sessions and complete the homework to gain the 6 training hours.
